Beirut- Abu Hussein will wake up in the morning in one of the southern suburbs of Beirut to ask his wife, “You have not come or complete yet?”, And you answer him, “Not yet, have you missed her?” He replied, “Yes, we used to it and turned into a stimulant that awakens me at dawn,” referring to the Israeli misfortunes that violate the Lebanese airspace.
An almost daily dialogue that takes place between the Lebanese people in most regions of the country about these misfortunes that monitor Lebanon and only leave its sky a few hours a day. It became an integral part of the diaries of this burdened people with the repercussions of the last September, which lasted for more than 60 days and left thousands of people dead, wounded and tremendous destruction, estimated to be rebuilt by more than 10 billion dollars.
Since the ceasefire entered into force on November 27, 2024, the Morses have become the companions of the Lebanese, and their annoying voice became part of the details of their lives.
Sarcasm
Abu Hussein jokingly told Al -Jazeera Net, “I used to them, visit me more than my children and stay in my home more than them and no longer bother me, we have been suffering from it for about a year, and we have no choice but to accept it.”
The Lebanese mockery of the Israeli enlightenings mix with sadness because their flight is followed by assassinations or targeting of people on cars or motorcycles, and “photographing and collecting information entitled to the flight of warplanes that have become violating the Lebanese airspace and implemented the raids almost daily.”
Al -Jazeera Net watched these enlightenings within a week and found that they never leave the sky of Lebanon, but the Lebanese continue in their lives naturally and do not affect their work as if they were not present and their voice is unheard.
Even in the capital, Beirut, it is shaved close to the headquarters of the Lebanese government and the place of its president’s residence, and Mohamed, an employee in a bank in central Beirut, says that the misfortunes are not limited only to southern Lebanon or Bekaa in the east, but “they monitor and visualize in all countries, there is no city or a region where its adultery is not heard.”
“The biggest problem is that it turned into a tool for assassinations and we do not know when it can launch its missiles to assassinate this person or that leader of Hezbollah, and I or a member of my family may be walking near this car or bike and was killed and we have no income in what is happening, and despite all that, we are used to it.”
Daily scene
On our way towards the mountainous areas in Lebanon, we passed along Baabda, which includes the Republican Palace, the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and the Lebanese army leadership, and the scene has not changed, and the atmosphere and some of them are low at low altitude and a high voice that stigmatizes the ears.
Al -Jazeera Net, one of the groceries, asked, “Is this scene daily even above these sensitive official headquarters?” He replied that “Israel permits the Lebanese airspace without accountability or sergeant, and the voice is our companion in the morning and evening and may extend until dawn, and when the misfortunes are absent, we ask about it and the reasons for its absence and will the war plane be replaced”?
Even the children know the voice of the misfortunes and some of them are afraid of them because they remind him of war and bombing his house, as is the case of Reem (12 years old), who says that “the sound of the march terrifies her because he reminds her of the way her house was bombed last year, and she is still in her ears until now.”
Dealing strategy
As for Karim, 11, who was playing near his house and running in the atmosphere, he says, “I am not afraid of it, because I hate Israel and when I am older I will fight it and eliminate it and liberate Jerusalem.”
However, did the Lebanese actually get used to the voice of the Israeli misfortunes? Do they really ask about her absence?
It seems that the Lebanese has chosen the strategy of dealing with these misfortunes with mocking and ridicule because their presence has always become in his daily life.
Psychology says about the state of denial that part of the Lebanese lives, that it may lead to “distorting their perception and becomes separate from reality and their understanding of it. This method of abuse is useful for a short and limited period and helps to adapt to a hostile reality, but on the long term a dangerous rift arises between experience and the world.”
