The ship “Handala” continues its journey to Gaza to break the siege on it after the ship responsible for the return of contact with it after about two hours of its landing Thursday night after the approaching drones approached it.

The “Freedom Fleet” coalition broadcast the last minutes of surveillance camera records on the ship before the connection was interrupted.

Al -Jazeera correspondent Mohamed Al -Baqali said on board the ship that drones surrounded the ship heading to Gaza, and added that the ship’s crew has activated the emergency plan.

The flight of the drones near the ship sparked fears of the possibility of being attacked, before it was re -communicated with it.

The “Freedom Fleet” coalition confirmed the return of contact with the ship “Handala”, and said that all members of its crew are fine.

American and French activists from the “Hanzala” team called their governments to intervene to prevent Israel from attacking or intercepting the ship.

Activists, who are seeking to break the Gaza blockade, stressed that their movement stems from their responsibility towards the crime of genocide in the Palestinian sector.

“Handala” was sailed on July 13, from the Italian port of Gallipoli, with 21 international activists of multiple nationalities, including 7 Americans, including the American Jewish Jacob Berger, European Parliament member Emma Furu, and French MP Gabriel Catalala, in addition to Al -Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Al -Baqali.

According to Al -Jazeera correspondent, “Handhala” is an ancient fishing ship made in 1968, and it only carries activists and some simple gifts. He indicated that it is the 36th trip for the Freedom Fleet since its establishment.

Since October 2023, the occupation army has launched a war of extermination over the residents of the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in the death of more than 59,000 Palestinians, the injury of more than 143,000 and the displacement of almost all residents of the Strip, amid unprecedented destruction since the Second World War, according to Palestinian and international reports.
