Storms sweeping southern China in the wake of Hurricane Wivifa news

Today, Monday, storms swept the southern regions of the mainland of China, which led to the launch of warnings of the occurrence of torrents and landslides, a day after the hurricane and Wiva Hong Kong.

The authorities of the city of Gukhai, southern China, postponed more than 460,000 people from the affected areas due to the hurricane.

The hurricane, which is now classified as a strong tropical storm, arrived, on Sunday, to the southern country of Guangdong, with winds of 33 meters per second.

Local authorities have opened 257 shelters to protect the population from the strong winds accompanied by heavy rains.

Heavy rains fell on the cities of Yangjiang, Changiang and Maoming in the Guangdong region.

The meteorological center also expects rain in the southern provinces until Monday.

The hurricane passed on Sunday to Hong Kong, causing trees to fall, flights stopped, and nearly 280 people were taken from shelters.

The Meteorological Authority said that the storm will move towards Tonkin Bay late Monday morning, as it will increase its density before the northern coast of Vietnam swept tomorrow, Tuesday.
