The European Union Foreign Policy Commissioner Kadia Calas said that the situation in the Gaza Strip is catastrophic, especially with the delay in the ceasefire.

“We agreed with Israel to improve the situation in Gaza, and we see that there are positive indicators,” she added.

“We must do a lot and we want to see more to feel an improvement in the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip,” she added.

She explained that the options for partnership with Israel will be discussed, noting that the priority will be related to the humanitarian situation.

In a related context, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said in a report published on Wednesday, that the Israeli army issued about 54 to 54, while about 81% of the Gaza Strip were subjected to the orders of displacement.

He added that with the lack of safe places, many residents resorted to overcrowded sites to seek shelter and to temporary shelter centers, affected buildings, streets and open areas, and people are confined to places that are constantly diminished.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has launched a war of genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders for the International Court of Justice to stop it.
