United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres expressed his shock and strong dissatisfaction with the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, warning that “the last arteries of survival are about to be interrupted” as a result of Israel closing the Strip crossings.

This came in the words of the United Nations spokesman, Stephen Dujarric, regarding the position of the Secretary -General regarding the developments in Gaza, stressing that the Secretary -General of the International Organization calls for the protection of civilians in the sector and to meet their needs.

Guterres confirmed that he was very dismayed and resentful about the exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, pointing out that dozens of Palestinians have been killed or injured in recent days as a result of numerous attacks on the areas of sheltering and civilians who are trying to get food.

He strongly condemned the loss of civilian lives, noting that about 30,000 Palestinians were displaced again this week due to the Israeli evacuation orders that were issued in one day, pointing out that the absence of safe shelter and acute shortage of basic needs such as housing, food, medicine and water led to a major humanitarian catastrophe.

The Secretary -General of the United Nations – according to Dujarik – stressed that “the rules of international humanitarian law are clear. Civilians must protect and meet their needs,” stressing that the fuel has not been introduced to Gaza for more than 17 weeks, and warned that “the last arteries of survival in Gaza are about to be cut off.”

He also warned that unless the fuel is urgently secured, the incubators of children will stop working, and ambulances will not be able to reach the wounded and patients, and will not purify the water, and said that the very limited vital aid that the United Nations and its partners can provide in Gaza will stop a complete stop.

Guterres reiterated his call to provide “full, safe and sustainable” human arrival “to provide humanitarian aid to people who have long been deprived of their basic needs in Gaza, noting that the United Nations has a plan to provide assistance that civilians need safely and widely, based on humanitarian principles.

And Israel has been closed since last March, a tightly in front of the Gaza crossings in front of trucks and aids stacked at the border, and only allowing dozens of trucks to enter, while the Palestinians in Gaza need 500 trucks per day as a minimum.

Away from the supervision of the United Nations and international organizations, Tel Aviv and Washington began last May 27 to implement a plan to distribute limited aid through what is known as the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, where Palestinians are forced to comply between death or by the Israeli army.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has committed an American support for a collective genocide in Gaza, which includes killing, starvation, destruction and hybrid, and the extermination left more than 192 thousand Palestinians between a martyr and a wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11 thousand missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced people and the famine that has been tired of many lives, including dozens of children.
