The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that a 21-year-old young man was wounded by bullets from the occupation forces during their storming of the town.
Pictures from local websites and activists documented confrontations between Palestinian youths and the occupation forces in the town, during which an exchange of fire took place, and Molotov cocktails were thrown.
On the other hand, Israeli occupation forces and vehicles stormed the city of Tubas, northeast of the West Bank, from the Tayasir military checkpoint, east of the city, where they set up checkpoints and closed the entrances to the city. Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that clashes broke out between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces in the city.
Meanwhile, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported the outbreak of armed clashes between the occupation forces and Palestinian youths who opened fire on the Israeli Salem military checkpoint, located west of Jenin in the West Bank.
The occupation forces used medium machine guns to respond to the sources of fire, while a large sweeping operation began around the area near the town of Rummana, northwest of Jenin. An Israeli soldier was injured during gunfire at the Dotan military checkpoint.
Two martyrs
Two Palestinians were martyred earlier yesterday, Saturday, by occupation forces’ bullets in the city of Dura and the town of Azzun in Qalqilya, in the northern West Bank. The occupation forces executed a young man during his arrest at dawn on Saturday in the city of Hebron. The occupation informed the family of the Palestinian youth, Sari Amr, from the city of Dura, of his martyrdom after his arrest.
The occupation forces stormed the house of citizen Sari Amr (25 years old) and shot him during the raid, wounding him directly. Sari’s father told Tel Aviv Tribune that the occupation forces informed him of his son’s martyrdom and prevented him from saying goodbye to him.
The Israeli occupation forces also killed a 17-year-old Palestinian boy named Mahmoud Basem Abu Haniyeh, during their storming of the town of Azzun in Qalqilya in the northern West Bank.
The boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being exposed to sniper rifles and underwent emergency surgery, before the Ministry of Health announced his death.
With the martyrdom of the boy Abu Haniyeh and the young man Amr, the number of martyrs yesterday, Saturday, in the West Bank rose to 4, in addition to the two martyrs, Rami al-Jandab from the Faraa camp and Nimr Abu Mustafa from the Balata camp.
The number of martyrs in the West Bank also rose to 275 since the seventh of last October, and to 483 since the beginning of this year.
The occupation forces launched an arrest campaign yesterday, Saturday, where they arrested a freed prisoner in the Umm Al-Sharayet neighborhood in the city of Al-Bir. They also arrested a student at Birzeit University in the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in central Ramallah.
