Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Burita condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people, while his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel -Ati, renewed his country rejecting all attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue.
Bouraita expressed his country’s refusal to storms the holy sites in Palestine, attacks the people in Gaza, and destroy the infrastructure, saying that “the starvation that the Palestinians are exposed to are unacceptable.”
In a press conference after bilateral talks in Rabat with his Egyptian counterpart, Bouraita criticized the Israeli attacks and policies, and said that it feeds the logic of the conflict in the region and reduces the success of peace opportunities.
On the crisis of the Renaissance Dam, Burita stressed that Morocco supports the legitimate rights of Egypt regarding its water security, stressing that the solution to this issue is carried out by dialogue in a manner that guarantees the historical rights of Egypt.
For his part, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel -Ati said that he discussed with his Moroccan counterpart in a number of files, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue.
The Egyptian minister also renewed the position of his country rejecting all attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue, as well as rejecting all forms of displacement of the Palestinians, stressing that the reconstruction of Gaza should take place without the transfer of its residents from the Strip or outside their lands.
He said that Egypt is keen to organize a conference for the reconstruction of Gaza as soon as a ceasefire agreement was reached.
Referring to the crisis with Ethiopia regarding the Renaissance Dam, Badr Abdel -Ati said that the issue of water is the first existential issue of Egypt, stressing that his country cannot tolerate this issue.
With regard to developments in Sudan, Abdel -Ati called for the importance of a ceasefire and stopping the destruction of infrastructure in Sudan.
