Gaza- More than 80 days after the occupation forces prevented the entry of aid and food to Gaza, Israel allowed yesterday evening Wednesday to arrive at only 92 trucks loaded with flour and nutritional supplements to the central and southern Gaza Strip.

Although the Israeli government decided to open the Kerem Abu Salem crossing on May 19, it has been prolonged in introducing aid for three days, which shows its intentional intentions by obstructing its flow in quantities commensurate with the need of approximately 2.4 million Palestinians.

Nahid Shehbar, head of the Gaza Transport Companies Association, said that 90 trucks arrived out of 92, which allowed the occupation to pass to the Gaza Strip after a ban on 11 weeks, and its cargo was emptied in a number of bakeries of Khan Yunis and Al -Wusta governorates.

Limited quantities

Shehbar said in an interview with Al -Jazeera Net, that there is no information for transport companies about the number of trucks that the occupation will allow to enter in the coming days, and the extent of its regularity or not, stressing that all these measures are dependent on the daily coordination of the transport trucks.

He pointed out that the coordination allocated to trucks is limited to the central governorates and Khan Yunis, and does not include Gaza City and its north inhabited by more than a million Palestinians.

He stressed that reaching the northern Gaza Strip needs coordination from the Israeli occupation, which controls the Salah al -Din road separating the Gaza and Central Governorates known as the Natsarim axis, and “this has not happened yet.”

In the same context, sources in the Ministry of Economy in Gaza expressed their fear that the occupation forces will continue to enter aid to the residents of the Gaza governorates and the north, as part of its plan to push its residents to the southern Gaza Strip in preparation for their displacement.

According to the sources that spoke to Al -Jazeera Net, the inventory of aid to its limited quantities in the central and southern regions of the sector will deepen the hunger crisis, and citizens will not feel an improvement in the availability of foodstuffs.

The occupation forces refused to open additional corridors to enter aid, whether from the eastern regions of the central Gaza or northern Gaza, as it took place in earlier times, with the aim of facilitating their arrival in all governorates.

The occupation deliberately causes a state of chaos inside the Gaza Strip, and allowed the looting and theft gangs operating with the protection of the Israeli army in the eastern regions of Rafah Governorate by controlling aid, without the competent authorities being able to secure their passage, according to field indicators.

The occupation behind this aims to fabricate a false narration that the trucks are being looted by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Gaza, in a “malicious” attempt to justify the lack of aid, which was forced to deliver small quantities, in response to the American agreement with the movement within the deal to release the soldier Alexan Alexander, under pressure and international criticism.

Since the occupation forces closed the Gaza Strip crossings on March 2, the sector markets have witnessed a remarkable increase in food and supplies prices, while all the quantities of flour that the population kept has run out.

Israel has since prevented more than 45,000 trucks, as the human protocol attached to the truce agreement was stipulated in January, to allow the passage of 600 aid trucks per day, in addition to 50 fuel trucks.

Family crisis

According to government agencies, the sector needs more than 700 trucks per day to meet the daily needs of citizens, and if the occupation remains, limited assistance will be entered, this will not limit the crisis of starvation that is ravaged by more than two million Palestinians.

Gaza residents are looking to solve the flour crisis, but the data on the ground indicate the difficulty of this, given the limited quantities that arrived last night, which will enable a limited number of bakeries to work for very limited days.

It is noteworthy that all the bakeries that were operating before the closure of the crossings, and the number of about 25 bakeries, produced 250 tons of flour per day and covered only 60% of the needs of the population, and this will not be available during the coming days due to the limited amount of flour that reached and preventing its arrival in northern Gaza, where the sector needs 450 tons of it per day.

Jonathan Fowler, a spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, Jonathan Fowler, said that Israel does not respond to all international pressure, to introduce aid to what is required. He added – in press statements yesterday, Wednesday – that “the claim that a faction in Gaza controls aid, is not true.”
