US -Syrian relations are witnessing a development in the post -ousted regime. Barbara Lev visited the assistant minister of US Secretary of State in December 2024 and met Syrian officials.
She said that the first meeting with President Ahmed Al -Shara was “very good, very fruitful and detailed.” The meetings of the officials of the two countries continued to the announcement of US President Donald Trump on May 12, 2025, that he is seriously considering eliminating sanctions on Syria to give Damascus a new start.
