It has now been 19 months since the start of the Israeli war in Gaza. The International Court of Justice is investigating a “plausible genocide”, while the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant for war crimes. Genocide researchers, major human rights organizations and United Nations experts identified what is happening in Gaza as a genocide. People around the world have worked to call on their governments to act to stop it.

There is only one power that prevents this genocide from the United States. One administration has given another, and yet there was no change in policy. Unconditional support for Israel seems to be a doctrine that the American political establishment does not want to touch.

Various analyzes have suggested that at the origin of this “special relationship” are Judeo-Christian values and a shared democratic path; Others argued that it had to do with the bipartite system and the class of donors who dominate American policy.

But the reality is much simpler. The United States considers Israel as a critical ally because it helps promote the world supremacy of the United States at a time when it is faced with an inevitable decline. The survival of Israel in its current form of colonial colonials – the American elites believe – is closely linked to the maintenance of American supremacy.

The supremacy of the American Empire

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, the United States has led a unipolar world as the only superpower.

To pursue Western Imperial World Domination, the American Empire has a lot about global economic, political and cultural issues, often with devastating consequences for the life of millions of people in the world.

Like all empires, the United States solidifies and widen its position of supremacy and hegemony in the world thanks to its overwhelming military force. Thanks to the American infrastructure of organized imperial violence, it is able to obtain access and control of resources, commercial routes and markets. This guarantees, in turn, economic growth and continuous domination.

But in recent years, we have seen signs that American supremacy is disputed. The momentum to do so accumulated in the aftermath of the 2008-2009 United States financial crisis, which turned into a global crisis. This has shown the negative impact of American supremacy on the world economy and motivated powers such as China and India to take measures to protect themselves from it. The BRICS Coalition of Economies has become their shared response on the economic front.

During the following years, various villains in American foreign policy, including American failure in Afghanistan, its decreasing influence in Africa and its inability to prevent the Russian invasion of Ukraine, also demonstrated the limits of US global power.

The rise of American president Donald Trump and far-right populism in the United States reflected the fact that cracks appeared in the very heart of the so-called Liberal order led by the United States.

No empire has ever easily accepted its decline, either the United States either. He intends to keep his status of undeniable superpower, and for that, he needs imperial outposts to keep himself by his side.

Israel – the most reliable imperial ally

Throughout the Cold War, Western Europe and Israel were the American junior partners in its confrontation with the Soviet Union in Europe and the Middle East. Today, while the transatlantic alliance several decades seems a little vacated, the American-Israeli relationship still appears as strong.

Israel has demonstrated loyalty as an imperial post. He played a key role in supporting American imperialism in two ways.

Firstly, Israel helps the United States obtain its access and control over one of the most critical markets for any empire: the energy market. The Middle East is an important force in world energy trade, and its oil and gas policies can have a huge impact on the world economy.

What the United States fears the most is to lose its domination in the global energy markets at a competing power, which is why it wants to guarantee its interests by establishing a regional order in the Middle East which massively promotes its imperial power. This new order is to give the United States a major advantage over any competitor seeking to make breakthroughs in the region, namely China.

For the administration of former American president Joe Biden and his successor, the Trump administration, the Israeli genocide of the Palestinians and the assault against neighboring countries aims to establish this new security reality in the region by eliminating hostile groups and governments. This is why the United States for them did not stop.

Second, Israel plays an essential role in the progress of American military supremacy. The United States provides Israel billions of dollars in aid, which is in fact a form of self-investment in the development of military capacities and sales enlargement. The Israeli State uses these funds to buy weapons from American weapons manufacturers, who then use the Israeli deployment of these weapons in the Middle East as test and marketing tools. The American military-industrial complex is able to sell more weapons and continue to innovate and grow to ensure that the United States has a military advantage over its rivals.

In this sense, Israel is one of the most critical parts of the American imperial machinery. Without this, the United States would find it difficult to maintain its imperial power in the Middle East. It is for this reason that Biden formerly proclaims that if Israel did not exist, the United States should invent it.

Free Palestine and global decolonization

In the past year, we have attended an unprecedented attack on Palestine’s solidarity movement in the United States, which affected all public spheres, including education and health care. We have also seen an intensification of American threats against states, such as South Africa, for their support for Palestine.

On the basis of the magnitude of resources and energy that the American Empire spends on the elimination and subjugation of Palestinians, it is necessary to wonder, what about stateless people without economic and diplomatic capital or military power who terrify the only global superpower?

The answer is that the American Empire considers a free Palestine as the start of its own end.

The United States is actively working to prevent the world from doing the right thing and isolating the Israeli state economically and politically because it fears what could come. Such isolation would make it difficult for Israel to continue its existence as colonial colonial project and could ultimately lead to a process of decolonization. The end result of this would be the Palestinians and the Israelis living together in a new decolonial political system which would be integrated into the region and would no longer serve imperial power.

A decolonized entity in Palestine / Israel would be a major step in the decolonization of the World Order itself and its release from the American imperial power. And that’s what the United States is fear.

In this sense, it is in the personal interest of the overwhelming majority of nations in the world to follow this path. The future of the Palestinians, who face the real threat of elimination and total subjugation today, depends on it. And the future of many other nations, if they wish to avoid current indescribable brutality with which Palestinians are faced with everyone, also depends on it.

As much as the United States needs a colonial Israel to avoid its decline, the world, especially the world of world, needs a decolonized Palestine to accelerate the American decline. Palestine, not only metaphorically but literally, is held on the path of the march of us and Western imperialism to continuous world supremacy.
