Gaza- The watch was approaching five in the afternoon when he heard a massive explosion on the horizon, no communications network, nor wireless devices, only smoke is its only evidence. In a time similar to ancient times, when people lit the fire or knocked the drums to communicate with each other, Moamen Al -Mashharawi came out with the ambulance in search of the smoke column.
That day, a believer in the color of the dust knew that the bombing occurred in the Al -Tafah neighborhood in central Gaza, driving the car quickly, and on his way he was asking passers -by, until he was able to infer the place.
The bombing of a shelter center was inside a school, and when he arrived in the ambulance, he found himself in a scene that could only be described as a massacre, scattered pieces, heads without bodies, hands and separated legs, children without limbs, and people screaming: ambulance.
People, themselves, were carrying corpses and putting them in his car, while shock, chaos and blood were scattered in every corner.
“The ambulance is designed to carry one infected, but I was putting 4 or 5, and I came back to the place and again, the priority of the wounded first, then the martyrs,” said Moamen.
This was not the worst of what Al -Mashharawi saw. After a few days, the news of the occupation’s bombing of the Al -Nakfar Street market, which was one of the most important markets of Gaza. Hurry up with his colleagues to find that the market that was filled with life, was drowned in the blood.
Performinous, bodies thrown on the sidewalks, congestion, chaos, people run, carry the injured over their shoulders, because ambulances are few.
Baldish cloth
A believer does not forget another scene, his mind lives forever, a family sitting in front of her house, tolerance, a raid from a plane, and laughter disappears forever.
Everyone was martyred, and only one survived, but he was wounded and his feet were bleeding.
A believer had no emergency tools to stop the bleeding due to the circumstances of the war, as the occupation was prohibited from entering it, so he rushed to pick up a piece of cloth dumped on the ground, and tied the wounded legs until he stopped the bleeding, and saved his life.
A few months later, in a street in Gaza, a believer met the young man, survived, but now without two feet.

Baptist massacre
Despite the large number of scenes kept by the memory of the paramedic Khaled Abu Nima, the massacre of the Baptist Hospital committed by the occupation on October 17, 2023, remains the most ugly.
Its night, Khaled arrived in his car to the hospital, which was housing thousands of displaced. The place seemed to be a scene of the horrors of the resurrection: people escaped and screaming, carrying their children dead in their arms, burned children, scattered pieces, bodies of hundreds.
In his car, Khaled was carrying 5 martyrs, or wounded each time, as the back door of the car remains open because it is full of wounded.
The next morning, he returned to complete the mission, search under cars, and under the rubble, he found burnt bodies, small body parts, and heavy silence surrounding the place.
The massacre caused by the direct shelling of the displaced people in the hospital oasis killed more than 500 citizens, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Neck
Khaled realizes the danger of his work, which may cost him his life at any moment, and this is what happened with many of his colleagues who were killed by the occupation army, and mentioning them: Tariq Ashour, Mahmoud Abu Mashaikh, Ahmed Abdel Rahman, Hani Al -Jaafarawi (was director of the ambulance department), Osama Al -Blaly, Khaled Abed, Muhammad Al -Mutawq, and Ismail Al -Dahdouh.
On December 2023, Khaled almost turned into a victim carried by his colleagues with their cars, as he was shot in his neck trying to save his colleagues who were besieged by the occupation forces while they were on their way to transport a quantity of medicines.
He was calling for him to help him, but the bullets did not stop, he got up .. and prejudiced himself, ran, blood flowing, and bullets fly, and miraculously survived. Several months later, they survived when a plane fired a missile directly behind his car.
Despite all these dangers, Khaled and his colleagues do not get salaries since the beginning of the war, only simple rewards every few months, given the lack of sources of income in the Gaza government.
In another scene, during the early days of the war, the paramedic Khaled went to an area that witnessed an Israeli raid, and he did not find wounded, so he preferred to stay a little.
Next to the place, a family lived in a tent, and suddenly a screaming was heard, and they took out a 3 -year -old girl, she was asleep, but a fragment penetrated her little body and died in silence.
“When I saw her … I imagined that she was my child,” says Khaled.

Simple, but fatal
What is more difficult to save a person and move him to the hospital, but you know very well that he will not live even though his wounds are not dangerous. This is what the paramedic, “Muhammad”, is a pseudonym, whose user preferred not to reveal his true identity.
Muhammad and his colleagues were making tremendous efforts to retrieve the wounded from the places of bombing and from under the rubble, and transfer them to hospitals, but the treatment was missing as a result of the Israeli occupation targeting the health system in the northern Gaza Strip.
In the Baptist Hospital, Muhammad was leaving the injured on the ground, so there is no sufficient beds or treatment, and he returned in the morning to find them extending in white shrouds in front of the hospital church.
The injuries were not dangerous, some of which are small fragments in the abdomen or chest, but they cause fatal bleeding, in the absence of operating rooms, CT scans, and surgery doctors.
In light of the great shortage of medical teams, Muhammad and his colleagues were working as doctors, sewing the wounds of children without anesthesia, and putting plates for those with fractures without photographing them with radiology to find out the nature of launching.
Family massacres
In an incident that his imagination is almost left, Muhammad went to save a family that was bombed, but he was surprised that the apartment was empty.
Minutes after searching, he discovered that the force of the explosion was threw up with the family of a mother and her three children to the roof of a nearby house.
In another incident, distress calls from a school that sheltered displaced people were bombed, one of the young men was stuck under a wall. Muhammad and his colleagues, who were 6 people, had no tools, so they started digging with their bare hands.
Suddenly, a warning came to them that the school would bomb again in 3 minutes, and despite that they refused to leave, they continued to dig, and they withdrew the young man at the last minute, and only two minutes after their exit, the missile fell.
More unless Muhammad was able to habit him is the massacres of families, complete families disappear. Once, they found a 3 -year -old child who is distorted, survived from a massacre that eliminated 3 families in the same street, and none of his relatives recognized him, so he was a nurse.
Muhammad concludes his words with a tone whose pain is not afraid of a year and a half from the inherent atrocities.
