The head of the Palestinian prisoner club Abdullah Al -Zaghari said that thousands of detainees in the Israeli occupation prisons are facing slow killings, noting that the occupation army camps have turned into torture arenas for Palestinian prisoners.
This came during a speech in his participation in the European Alliance Conference to advocate the prisoners of Palestine held in the Belgian capital, Brussels, according to a statement distributed by the Al -Asir Club (non -governmental).
Al -Zaghari said that many crimes and certificates “that were documented through specialized institutions, their prisoners are rejected and the legal staff visits reflected an unprecedented level of torture crimes, starvation, medical crimes, and sexual assaults, including rape.”
He pointed to the escalation of the health catastrophe with the continued spread of diseases and epidemics among the prisoners, and the corresponding deprivation of the treatment, which led to the death of dozens of prisoners and detainees since the beginning of the genocide.
Al -Zaghari added that thousands of prisoners are facing slow killings, through the crimes that were reviewed, and through many policies that target the prisoners physically and psychologically.
He continued that the Israeli camps were turned into torture arenas, pointing to the reputation “Sadi Timan” prison (south) “, which has become the title of these crimes, and next to him many central prisons and other camps in which the level of crimes is no less than what is going on.
Al -Zaghari called on the international human rights system to restore its role for which it was established, and to overcome the current situation that controls it, which is the continuous failure to play its role in front of the Israeli brutality system.
Earlier on Saturday, the activities of the “ninth conference of the European Alliance to support the Palestinian prisoners” were launched in Brussels with the participation of Palestinian officials and activists in prisoners ’issues, human rights experts, legal and representatives of official authorities for European countries.
In its prisons, Israel arrests about 9900 Palestinians, including approximately 400 children and 29 prisoners, according to official Palestinian data, which do not include thousands of “enforced disappearance” cases of detainees from the Gaza Strip.
In parallel with the genocide war in Gaza, the occupation army and the settlers have supported their aggression in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which led to the death of more than 960 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7 thousand, in addition to the registration of 16 thousand and 400 arrest cases (including detainees released), the displacement of more than 41 thousand and the destruction of hundreds of homes, according to Palestinian data.
Israel has committed absolute American support since October 7, 2023 genocide in Gaza, which left more than 170,000 Palestinians between a martyr and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11 thousand missing.
