The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Saturday, that the Israeli occupation committed 5 massacres during the past two days, resulting in the death of 32 Palestinians and the injury of 193 others, bringing the total victims of the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023 to 46,537 martyrs, and 109,000. And 571 wounded.
The Ministry said, in a statement, that the intense Israeli bombing targeted residential areas in several governorates in the Gaza Strip, which led to the destruction of homes and the killing of entire families.
She added that hospitals suffer from a severe shortage of medical supplies and medicines, which hinders their ability to provide the necessary care to the wounded.
For his part, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation forces targeted the only civil defense vehicle in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, hindering rescue efforts in the area.
The Gaza Civil Defense Service confirmed that a number of fire and rescue vehicles stopped working in several governorates, due to a lack of necessary equipment and spare parts.
A civil defense spokesman told Tel Aviv Tribune, “The occupation uses huge munitions that destroy entire residential squares.”
He added, “Our crews cannot perform their work properly due to being targeted by the occupation.” He pointed out that “the occupation refuses to bring in spare parts for our vehicles, which has led to the cessation of a large number of them.”
He continued: “The occupation seeks to kill the largest possible number of civilians and medical personnel, and this is part of its genocidal policy against our people.”
The Civil Defense also warned that the continuation of this situation “will increase the complexity of the crisis and reduce the ability of crews to respond to citizens’ calls,” especially in light of the increasing need for rescue operations with the continued Israeli bombing.
UNRWA transfers the Palestinian archive
On the other hand, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, revealed that thousands of archival files of Palestinian refugees from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank had been transferred to a “safe place.”
Lazzarini said, in a statement published by the agency on the “X” platform, “UNRWA is the faithful custodian of the identity and history of Palestine refugees. The records of Palestine refugee families have been preserved and archived for 75 years.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced on Saturday that it had intercepted a missile fired from the southern Gaza Strip towards Kerem Shalom. Sirens sounded in the border area, but there were no reports of injuries or casualties.
The Gaza Strip is facing a stifling humanitarian crisis, with the continued Israeli blockade and the failure to allow sufficient humanitarian aid to enter, which increases the suffering of the population living under the weight of daily bombardment and lack of food and medicine.
