A young Palestinian man was killed today, Saturday, by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets at the Qalandiya military checkpoint, while the occupation forces arrested 12 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that the occupation forces directly shot the young man, Tariq Ghazawneh (27 years old), from the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its crews received a martyr in his twenties at the Qalandiya checkpoint, after the occupation had initially refused to hand him over, leaving him bleeding on the ground.

The occupation forces also prevented citizens’ vehicles from entering the checkpoint and closed it.

Continuous arrests

Meanwhile, from last Friday evening until Saturday morning, the Israeli occupation army arrested 12 Palestinians, including former prisoners, during its storming of several areas in the occupied West Bank.
