More than 20 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids on various areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn today, targeting families and schools housing displaced people.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that 5 Palestinians, including 4 children, were martyred in an Israeli bombing of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Two people were also killed as a result of an Israeli air strike on a group of Palestinians in the Al-Zuhur neighborhood, north of the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
This comes while two others were injured as a result of an Israeli bombing in the Khirbet Al-Adas area, and a third in the Al-Mawasi area in the city of Rafah as well, and 9 Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli bombing on eastern Rafah.
Anatolia Agency quoted a medical source as saying that a Palestinian woman was martyred and others were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house for the Abu Samra family in the Abu Arif area, south of the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Anatolia Agency quoted eyewitnesses that 5 Palestinians from the “Jouda” family were martyred in an Israeli bombing on Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Gaza Civil Defense said, in a statement, that its crews recovered a martyr and injuries in the Israeli occupation bombing of the Bureij Preparatory School (Abu Hamisa), which houses displaced persons in the Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Fire broke out in the tents of the displaced as a result of an Israeli air strike on the school affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Bureij camp.
Violent bombing
In the same context, Palestinian media said that the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip was subjected to violent Israeli artillery shelling at dawn on Wednesday.
Israeli vehicles fired intense fire in the vicinity of Al-Rashid Al-Sahili Street in the Sheikh Ajlin neighborhood, west of Gaza City, coinciding with artillery shelling on its southern areas.
Israeli helicopters and drones also opened fire on citizens’ homes in Beit Lahia, north of Gaza. Medical sources added that most of the injured were children, and that most of them were in serious condition.
Israeli forces also surrounded Abu Tammam schools, which shelter displaced people in the area.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent quoted local sources in Gaza that the occupation army planted explosive barrels in residential neighborhoods in the Beit Lahia project, to blow up residents’ homes.
On the other hand, 3 medical staff members were injured at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip, as a result of explosive bombs being dropped from Quadcopter aircraft on the hospital.
Our correspondent added that the hospital is still subjected to artillery shelling and continuous shooting by Israeli forces.
On the ground, the Al-Quds Brigades said that they bombed with mortar shells a position of Israeli army soldiers on the supply line in the Netzarim axis.
The Netzarim Corridor (the middle axis) is located between Gaza City and the Central Governorate, starting from the area opposite Kibbutz “Be’eri” in the east, all the way to the Mediterranean coast in the west. It is about 7 kilometers long, and was named after the former “Netzarim” settlement that was located there.
