Israeli Army Radio said that a shooting attack took place at an Israeli force near the city of Hebron, while the occupation forces stormed a number of towns and villages in the West Bank this afternoon.

Army Radio reported – via the X platform – that gunmen attempted to open fire on an army force near the Mount Hebron area, without being able to cause any casualties among the soldiers, before they fled.

The radio explained that the operation was carried out using a car that subsequently succeeded in withdrawing, and that large Israeli forces were conducting extensive combing operations in search of the shooters.

In another incident a short while ago, Israeli Channel 13 reported shooting targeting an Israeli border guard patrol near Bethlehem in the south of the West Bank, without injuries.

This comes hours after 9 Israelis – including soldiers – were injured in an ambush targeting an occupation patrol and a bus near the Ariel settlement, north of the city of Salfit in the West Bank.

The Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), claimed responsibility for the operation. She said – in a statement – that “the perpetrator of the heroic operation was the martyr Samer Hussein, who surprised a number of Zionist soldiers inside a bus in Ariel, wounding 9, the wounds of 3 of whom were critical.”

Storms and arrests

On the other hand, the occupation forces stormed this afternoon a number of towns and villages in the West Bank, the most recent of which was storming the village of Yatma, south of Nablus, where confrontations broke out with the villagers and the occupation forces fired live bullets at the citizens.

Israeli military vehicles also stormed the town of Sebastia, west of Nablus, set up a military checkpoint, searched vehicles, detained some young men for a short period, and then withdrew from the town.

Occupation military vehicles also stormed the town of Beita, south of Nablus, amid confrontations that broke out with the town’s youth. Hebrew sources reported that an Israeli settler was injured as a result of stones being thrown at her vehicle in Huwwara, near Nablus.

The occupation forces stormed the village of Kafr Qaddum in Qalqilya, and used tear gas bombs to disperse and suppress anti-settlement demonstrators on the village lands.

In the town of Al-Ram, east of occupied Jerusalem, the occupation army drove its vehicles through its streets amid confrontations with the town’s youth. The occupation army also set up a military checkpoint inside the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, after storming it.

Today at dawn, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, and arrested at least 10 Palestinians after raiding their homes, vandalizing their contents, and confiscating 3 vehicles, before withdrawing from the village.

In the city of Qalqilya, the occupation forces arrested 4 Palestinians, and in the Hebron Governorate in the south of the West Bank, the occupation forces arrested a Palestinian from the village of Hadab Al-Fawwar. They also stormed the towns of Al-Shuyoukh and Sa’ir and raided a number of homes.

Settler attacks

In this context, settlers attacked Palestinian farmers and shepherds in the Ain al-Hilweh community in the northern Jordan Valley. Moataz Bisharat, the official responsible for the settlement file, told Tel Aviv Tribune that a group of settlers attacked cow herders and their herds in the area, leading to the death of a number of them.

Israeli settlers also attacked Palestinian sheep herders and farmers in Khirbet al-Tuba in Musafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Settlers from the Khavat Maon settlement – located on Palestinian lands south of Hebron – forced Palestinian farmers to leave their lands at gunpoint.

This comes as Israeli settlers have escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their property, especially in the northern West Bank, in recent months.

According to data from the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, since the start of the olive season last October, the Israeli army and its settlers have carried out about 407 attacks against farmers, their belongings, and their fields in the West Bank.

Israeli statistics show that more than 720,000 settlers reside in settlements in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, in violation of international law.

Coinciding with the start of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the army and settlers escalated their assaults and attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which led to the martyrdom of 797 Palestinians, the injury of about 6,006, and the arrest of 11,800, according to official Palestinian data. .
