Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported, citing medical sources inside hospitals, that the number of martyrs in an Israeli raid on the Tulkarm camp in the northern West Bank had risen to 20, and that others were injured.
The Ministry of Health announced 14 Palestinian martyrs in the raid launched by an Israeli fighter jet that targeted a house in the Tulkarm camp in the northern occupied West Bank.
Israeli occupation army radio reported that a fighter jet attacked gunmen in Tulkarm, north of the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli media said that it was the first time since the second Palestinian Intifada (2000-2005) that a warplane launched a raid on the Tulkarm camp.
The official Palestinian News Agency reported that the raid targeted residential areas, including a popular café in the camp.
The agency reported that the occupation aircraft bombed with at least one missile the Al-Hamam neighborhood in the Tulkarm camp while a number of citizens were present, which also led to dozens of people being injured with varying injuries, according to the Ministry of Health.
She indicated that civil defense vehicles and ambulances rushed to the scene, where the martyrs and wounded were transferred to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in the city of Tulkarm.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews transported the bodies of five martyrs, in addition to one injured person, to the hospital.
