Israeli settlers and soldiers stormed several villages and towns in various parts of the occupied West Bank in the early hours of Sunday morning, resulting in clashes and injuries among Palestinians.

In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that settlers stormed the Old City, performed Talmudic prayers and rituals, and spread out in the streets and alleys of the city under the protection of the occupation army forces, which forced shop owners to close their shops and set up checkpoints in several places.

Settlers storm the Old City of Hebron every Saturday with the aim of imposing more control over the town and changing the status quo in the area.

Local sources reported that a group of extremist settlers carried out acts of violence in the streets and alleys, threw stones at Palestinians and attacked them and their homes in the Wadi al-Hussein and Jaber neighborhoods in the Old City of Hebron.

In the northern West Bank, the official Palestinian news agency (WAFA) said that dozens of settlers stormed Jabal al-Ras in the village of Umm Safa, north of Ramallah, and fired live bullets at citizens’ homes.

The agency quoted the head of the village’s local council, Marwan Sabah, as saying that two young men suffered bruises and fractures while trying to get away from the targeted area, and were subsequently transferred to the hospital.

In the northwest of Ramallah, the occupation army stormed the village of Deir Abu Mash’al, “without reporting any arrests or clashes,” according to WAFA.

Tulkarm and Nablus

In Tulkarm, the agency said that the town of Zeita, north of the city, witnessed clashes between residents and occupation soldiers who “fired live bullets and toxic gas bombs, without any injuries being reported.”

She added that “three villages south of Nablus were raided by the Israeli army, namely Madama, Urif, and Yitma.” The agency noted that homes were raided and searched and clashes broke out “without any injuries or arrests reported.”

Since the outbreak of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of hundreds and the injury of thousands, according to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

With American support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, leaving more than 136,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and deadly famine.

In contempt of the international community, Israel continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate halt, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
