Coca-Cola and Pepsi sales decline, local soft drinks compete | Economy

Coca-Cola and rival Pepsi face competition from local soft drinks due to boycotts of foreign products by countries supporting Israel over its war on Gaza.

The signs of the boycott’s success seem closer than any previous attempt, as the campaigns calling for it have boosted the emergence of new products that have reduced the market dominance of companies supporting Israel and led to a decline in their sales.

According to the British magazine “Time”, more than 12 international companies accused of supporting Israel have been subjected to a boycott since October 2023.
