The Israeli occupation army bombed, at dawn on Thursday, tents of displaced people in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip and the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis, resulting in the martyrdom of 5 Palestinians and the injury of others.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent also reported that 3 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

The army classifies the city of Deir al-Balah and the Mawasi area as “safe humanitarian” areas, and has called on displaced people to head to them from areas of military operations, but it targets them with daily shelling that kills and injures displaced people.

Medical sources said that Israeli shelling targeted tents for displaced people near the outpatient clinic building in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, resulting in the martyrdom of 4 Palestinians and the injury of others with various injuries.

Air and artillery bombardment

The Israeli army also fired illumination bombs in the skies of the northeastern areas of Al-Bureij camp, and its warplanes targeted an empty area southwest of Al-Nuseirat camp without causing any injuries, according to eyewitnesses.

In Gaza City, Palestinians were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a sewing workshop in a house belonging to the Hassan family in the Abu Iskandar area north of the city, according to a statement by the Palestinian Civil Defense.

Palestinians were also injured when a quadcopter drone dropped bombs on citizens near the Shuhada al-Zeitoun School in the al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Eyewitnesses said that artillery stationed in the Zikim settlement shelled the eastern neighborhoods of Al-Zeitoun and Al-Shuja’iyya, south and east of Gaza City, while two artillery shells fell on Al-Sousi Tower in Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza.

Israeli army vehicles stationed south of Gaza City fired machine guns at citizens’ homes, and gunfire was renewed from the vehicles east of the Sha’af area in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of the city.

Blowing up residential buildings

In the southern Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Civil Defense said that a martyr fell as a result of Israeli shelling of a tent housing displaced people west of Khan Yunis.

The Israeli army also continued to blow up buildings and residential areas in the center of Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolutions to end it immediately, and the International Court of Justice orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israel has turned the Gaza Strip into the largest prison in the world, besieging it for the 18th year, and its war has forced about two million of its citizens, numbering about 2.3 million Palestinians, to flee in catastrophic conditions, with a severe and deliberate shortage of food, water and medicine.
