Platforms interacted with the Israeli occupation army’s announcement of recovering the lifeless bodies of 6 prisoners after finding them inside a tunnel in the Rafah area in the southern Gaza Strip, and identifying their identities, including two women, an officer, and an American citizen.

Commenting on this announcement, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said in a statement that the prisoners were killed by Israeli bombing, and that if US President Joe Biden is concerned about their lives, he should stop his support for Israel.

The episode of “Networks” on 9/1/2024 reviewed the most prominent comments of activists, which held the occupation responsible for killing the prisoners, and stressed that a ceasefire and lifting the siege is the only way for them to leave alive.

According to activist Mohammed Hassani, a ceasefire and complete withdrawal is the way to bring them back alive. He wrote, “The way to free the prisoners is through a ceasefire, withdrawal, and lifting the siege.” He continued the tweet, explaining his idea, “As for military action, you will not bring them back except as lifeless bodies.”

While tweeter Ahmed Al-Husseinawi believes that Israel has certain intentions behind the negotiations and military operations, he said, “Their goal from the deal is to return their prisoners, and then exterminate most of the residents of Gaza after that, because there is nothing to fear after the hostages leave Gaza.”

For his part, activist Mohammed Master held the occupation responsible for killing the prisoners and wrote, “This is the result of the Zionist enemy’s crimes. If they had agreed to exchange them for Palestinian prisoners instead of bombing Gaza, they would have returned to their families like everyone else.”

Families of prisoners

From a different angle, the account holder called on the families of the prisoners to pressure the government and said, “The families of the prisoners must pressure Netanyahu’s government and paralyze movement in Israel until he submits to their demands, concludes a deal, and ends this bloody war.”

With every announcement that the Israeli army has recovered the bodies of prisoners from Gaza, Israeli protests against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu escalate.

The families of the prisoners confirmed in a statement that “delays, sabotage and excuses were the reason behind the deaths of the prisoners, and if the exchange deal had not been obstructed, they would have returned alive.” The Israelis went out in a huge demonstration to completely close the country until a deal was concluded, especially since 3 of the 6 whom the Israeli army found were on a list that Hamas had agreed to release on July 2 as part of an exchange deal.

Netanyahu, for his part, responded to these accusations, and pledged to his citizens that Israel would not rest until it reached the killers of the hostages in Hamas.

President Biden expressed his sadness over the death of the Israeli-American, and stressed that Hamas leaders will pay the price for the crimes they committed.
