Military and strategic expert Fayez Al-Duwairi confirmed that the resistance’s targeting of Tel Aviv and the use of explosive charges in operations during the past few days indicates the development and innovation of new methods, and also represents a qualitative shift in the resistance’s performance, which has caused panic among the Israeli leadership.
Al-Duwairi added – during the military analysis segment – that the decision to withdraw announced by the occupation from the city of Tulkarm, the camp, and Tubas should not be viewed as a complete withdrawal, but rather it should be considered a process of repositioning and evaluation, and then the final decision should be taken.
Al-Duwairi attributed the occupation’s focus on the city of Jenin to its presence in the minds of its military leaders in resistance and steadfastness in the face of it in 2002, noting that the occupation’s operations in Jenin are more violent because the resistance began there and took root more deeply.
Al-Duwairi called for not burdening the resistance youth in the West Bank with more than they can bear, because they face very great obstacles represented by the Israeli occupation and the Palestinian Authority’s pursuit of them by arrest, but despite that, they are presenting, with their capabilities, a tremendous heroic act.
The military expert expected that the operation would end within a short period, although the circumstances do not bode well for that, such as the increasing harassment practiced by the occupation on citizens, the increase in checkpoints, and the “encroachment” of lands, in addition to the increase in settler attacks and attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, which he said could generate an explosion that would increase the resistance operations and their effectiveness.
