President To Lam says he hopes to “push cooperation in defense and security.”

This is the Russian president’s first visit to Vietnam since 2017.

Vladimir Putin arrived in Hanoi on Thursday morning after his visit to Pyongyang.

The Russian president is trying to strengthen ties between Moscow and Hanoi to ease Russia’s isolation.
