The people of the city of Jenin mourned the bodies of 6 martyrs who were executed by Israeli army bullets during their storming of the village of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin in the West Bank, at a time when hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, guarded by police forces.

The mourners chanted angry slogans denouncing the ongoing Israeli massacres against the Palestinian people, and called on the resistance to respond and escalate operations against the occupation.

The general strike is taking place in the city of Jenin and its villages in mourning for the martyrs of the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Kafr Dan.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of 12 Palestinians by occupation forces’ bullets in various areas of the West Bank, within less than 48 hours.

It is noteworthy that the number of martyrs killed by Israel since October 7 in the West Bank has risen to 544.

Clashes broke out between resistance fighters and occupation forces after special Israeli units infiltrated the town of Kafr Dan and besieged a house, sending in reinforcements and a helicopter.

The Jenin Brigade, affiliated with the Al-Quds Brigades, said that its fighters engaged in confrontations in the area and rained down bullets and explosive devices on the occupation forces.

Storming Al-Aqsa

On the other hand, the Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem said that 590 settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque since this morning, and performed Talmudic rituals to celebrate the Jewish “harvest” holiday, while guarded by Israeli police.

The Endowments explained that other groups performed Talmudic prayers in loud voices at King Faisal Gate, one of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Settlers also threw stones at Palestinian vehicles in a street in Jerusalem. The occupation forces tightened their measures in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and closed Suleiman Street near Damascus Gate to ensure the passage of settlers to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In another context, today, Israeli settlers demolished homes and places for raising livestock in a Bedouin community in the occupied West Bank.

Hassan Malihat, general supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for Defending Bedouin Rights (civil society), told Anadolu Agency: “A group of settlers attacked a Bedouin gathering on the Al-Ma’rajat Road near the city of Jericho (central West Bank), and demolished 10 homes and facilities used for raising sheep.”

He added, “These attacks aim to deport the Bedouin population from the region and control it by settlers.”

During last May, settlers carried out 221 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, according to a monthly report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority (official) published on Monday.
