Israeli army continues dismantling of Hamas infrastructure in northern Gaza Strip

The Israeli army says its troops are still advancing in areas already visited at the start of the operation a few months ago.

In these images released by the IDF, we can see snipers sitting in the rubble, ready to fire, tanks, armored vehicles and bulldozers cleaning up the destroyed infrastructure.

Tel Aviv says troops in the Jabaliya area have dismantled “tunnels, observation posts, a weapons storage facility and military infrastructure used by Hamas.”

This offensive comes a few days after Israeli forces bombed a center for displaced people northwest of the city of Rafah, killing at least 45 people and injuring dozens of others according to a report provided by Hamas.

Witnesses said tents melted from the bombing and people were burned alive.

After facing international condemnation, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged that the attack was, quote, a “tragic mistake.”

Thousands of Palestinians took refuge in the camp after the Israeli army ordered Rafah to be evacuated and launched a ground attack earlier this month.

Over the past two weeks, more than a million Palestinians have fled Rafah as Israeli forces pressed into the city.
