Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported the start of a comprehensive strike, this Saturday morning, in Jenin in the West Bank, to mourn the martyrdom of Islam Khamaysi, a leader in the Jenin Brigade affiliated with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, who was assassinated by the occupation in a warplane bombing last night.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the Israeli raid targeted a house in the Jenin camp, resulting in the martyrdom of a Palestinian and the injury of 8 others, while the Al-Quds Brigades mourned Khamisi, who was martyred in the Israeli raid on Jenin.

The Israeli army broadcast pictures of the raid launched by the fighter jet on the camp, and said that it killed Khamaysi in the Jenin camp, describing him as one of the main wanted men and “the perpetrator of a series of attacks against Israeli targets.”

For its part, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that the Israeli air strike in the Jenin camp targeted a cell that was preparing for what it called a close operation, noting that the raid on Jenin was “unusual,” and that the army had only carried out air strikes in the West Bank a few times since October 7. Last October.

Storms and arrests

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a young man was injured by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets during their storming of Balata camp, east of Nablus in the West Bank, while Palestinian platforms documented scenes of the occupation bulldozer destroying the infrastructure during the storming of the camp, and other scenes of the moment the occupation forces were targeted with a homemade device there.

The Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent also said that the occupation forces stormed the home of a Palestinian persecuted in Qalqilya, and arrested members of his family to force him to surrender, coinciding with the occupation forces storming the village of Deir Abu Mishal, west of Ramallah.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced, earlier yesterday, Thursday, that the total number of arrests since October 7 has exceeded 8,755, and includes those who were arrested from homes and through military checkpoints, and those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure.

The occupation escalates arrest campaigns and incursions, in addition to settler attacks on Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, in parallel with the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has left tens of thousands martyred and wounded.
