Former Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman directed sharp criticism at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the War Council, saying that the latter is leading Israel toward loss, and that the Hamas movement and its leader Yahya Sinwar are managing the war from tunnels better than Netanyahu.
In statements reported by the “Israel Today” newspaper, Lieberman said that the government has no vision and no plan on how to manage operations, and that Netanyahu has lost international support for Israel due to his confusion.
Lieberman also called on Ministers Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot to leave the war council because they have no influence on it, he said.
He believed that everything the Israeli government does is aimed at political survival, and its neglect has caused a major rift in society.
The former Defense Minister also confirmed that all those responsible for what he called the failure on October 7 – in reference to the Al-Aqsa flood – must leave, including the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff.
He also stressed the need not to expose army soldiers to danger, and to establish a missile system that can hit any target in Iran within 8 minutes, he said.
