Former England and Barcelona star Gary Lineker insists that he will not stop speaking publicly about what is happening in Gaza in light of the bombing, killing and starvation that the residents of the Strip have been subjected to for more than 7 months at the hands of the Israeli occupation.

Lineker said in statements reported by the British newspaper “Daily Mail”: “What is happening in Gaza is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life, and there is a lot of pressure on figures in Britain to remain silent.”

He added, “There is intense pressure exerted against people who speak out against Israel, but I can speak because I am somewhat safe and I cannot remain silent.”

He continued, “I have no interest in what is happening. I am neither a Muslim, nor a Jew, nor a Palestinian nor an Israeli. I see things from the outside and from an objective perspective, but I cannot think of anything worse than what I have seen in my life. The constant images of children being killed daily.” “.

He concluded, “We know what happened last October 7. But as soon as you raise your voice to talk about what they are doing there (meaning the Israeli army in Gaza), you will be accused of being a supporter of Hamas and other accusations of this kind.”

Lineker’s words, the former Tottenham, Everton and Leicester City player, came in an interview with the British-American broadcaster Mehdi Hassan, in his program on the “Zeto” news platform, which he recently launched in the United States after his resignation from the American channel “MSNBC” following the cessation of his successful program. And restricting him, trying to marginalize him, and asking him to stay away from applying while maintaining his large salary, because of his criticism of Israel.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported that the Israeli occupation forces committed 4 massacres against families in Gaza, resulting in 28 martyrs and 69 wounded.

Thus, the number of victims of the Israeli aggression rises to 34,971 martyrs and 78,641 injured since the seventh of last October.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the besieged Gaza Strip, causing the death and injury of more than 100,000 Palestinians, the majority of whom are children and women, and leaving behind widespread devastation, health and environmental disasters, and humanitarian crises, according to government and UN officials.
