A number of Palestinians were injured when the Israeli occupation forces stormed several cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, coinciding with the transfer of the occupation forces from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank for fear of deteriorating conditions there. At the same time, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh considered that the occupation’s movements aimed to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that a Palestinian was shot in the foot by occupation forces during clashes that broke out in the village of Iraq Burin, south of the city of Nablus in the West Bank. The occupation army arrested a young man before it withdrew.
Confrontations broke out in the village of Madama, south of the city of Nablus, during which the occupation army fired live bullets, sound bombs and gas bombs at young Palestinians.
In Jenin, in the northern West Bank, two young Palestinians were injured after being severely beaten by Israeli occupation soldiers in the town of Yaabad, southwest of the city.
Foot soldiers from the occupation army also stormed the village of Faqoua, northeast of Jenin.
Confrontations and clashes broke out in the town of Nahalin, west of the city of Bethlehem, where the occupation army fired live bullets and tear gas bombs at Palestinian homes, closed shops and sent military reinforcements to the town after Palestinian youths repelled the intrusion.
Two young men were also injured during the occupation forces’ storming of the villages of Kobar, Kafr Ain, Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiya, and Silwad, east of Ramallah.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Al-Samu’, south of the city of Hebron, and the occupation forces deployed their patrols in the town, erected checkpoints, and raided a number of homes.
It is noteworthy that the town of Al-Samu is subject to continuous raids, while the entrance to the town remains closed with an iron gate since last October 7.
In the context of the incursions taking place in the occupied West Bank, the occupation forces stormed the villages of Shufa, Kafa, Ezbet Al-Tayyah, and Kafr Sur, southeast of Tulkarm.
A young Palestinian man was injured by occupation bullets during their storming of the Shweika suburb, north of the city.
More troops
In light of Israeli fears of the situation deteriorating in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli “Wala” website revealed that the occupation army decided to reduce the size of its forces in Gaza and transfer some of them to the West Bank to replace regular army forces there.
The website said that Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy decided that the combat forces would leave the Gaza Strip and be transferred to “operational duties in the West Bank,” to replace the forces of regular soldiers stationed there.
The website did not specify any details about the forces that were transferred from Gaza to the West Bank or the reasons for this decision, but Israeli media reports indicated that this move aims to give rest periods to the forces that have been working for long periods in the West Bank against the backdrop of the ongoing security tensions.
In recent weeks, the Israeli army announced the transfer of forces from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank.
Total destruction
In the face of what the occupation forces are doing in the West Bank, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh called for “intensifying international intervention to stop the aggression and killing, and to stop the war crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.”
Shtayyeh said that Israel is carrying out a process of “comprehensive destruction” in the West Bank, in parallel with the “genocidal war” it is waging in the Gaza Strip.
Shtayyeh attributed the occupation policy to daily raids, the killing of hundreds of young men, the establishment of settlement outposts, the confiscation of lands, the demolition of facilities, and the intensification of the presence of military checkpoints aimed at destroying “the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state.”
Since the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the occupation has intensified its operations in the West Bank, and expanded the incursions and raids that resulted in the death of 369 Palestinians and the injury of about 4,250 Palestinians, according to the Ministry of Health, and the arrest of about 6,195, according to institutions specialized in prisoner affairs.
American regret
In a related context, the US State Department expressed its deep regret over the death of a 17-year-old American citizen of Palestinian origin in the West Bank.
A boy, Tawfiq Jaaq, died last Friday as a result of being shot by a settler in the Uyoun al-Haramiyah area, north of Ramallah.
Washington also called on Tel Aviv to conduct “an urgent investigation to clarify the circumstances of his killing and determine responsibilities.”
