The Israeli occupation army admitted – today, Friday – that 9 of its soldiers were injured, including 7 in the Gaza Strip, during the past 24 hours, amid continuing clashes in an attempt to advance into the city of Rafah, south of the Strip.
The Israeli army reported that the number of soldiers wounded since the beginning of the war on the 7th of last October reached 3,763, of whom 1,902 were wounded since the beginning of the ground battles on the 27th of the same month.
The army indicated that 26 of the injured soldiers suffered serious injuries, 193 had moderate injuries, and 36 had minor injuries.
While the Israeli army said that 7 soldiers were injured in the Gaza battles, it did not clarify where the other two soldiers were injured.
It is noteworthy that the number of deaths in the occupation army reached 646 soldiers and officers since the beginning of the war, including 294 who were killed in ground battles in the Gaza Strip. However, Israeli hospitals and media confirmed that the actual number of army deaths and injuries is greater than what is announced.
Clashes in Rafah
On the ground, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that Palestinian resistance factions are engaged in clashes with the occupation forces penetrating the Qeshta neighborhood and the Halal market in Rafah.
The Al-Qassam Brigades reported that they targeted a Merkava tank with an “Al-Yassin 105” shell near the Awadallah Junction in the Yabna camp in Rafah.
It said that an Israeli force was killed and wounded when it targeted a house in which it was barricaded in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
While the Al-Quds Brigades reported that they bombed the Gaza Division headquarters in the Ra’im location with a missile salvo.

Sniping civilians
Also in Rafah, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that the bodies of two martyrs were recovered after they were killed by an Israeli sniper’s bullets, including a child, west of the city.
He confirmed that artillery and air strikes targeted the areas of the Saudi Quarter and Tal al-Sultan, west of Rafah, and that two Palestinians were martyred in a bombing that targeted an inhabited house near Al-Shamaa Mosque in the Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
The reporter said that a bombing targeted the town of Abasan, east of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of a Palestinian woman and the injury of others.
The Ministry of Health announced – Friday morning – that the occupation forces had committed 8 massacres since yesterday, killing 77 martyrs and 221 wounded.
Thus, the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip rose to 36,731 martyrs and 83,530 injured, in addition to thousands of missing persons.
