Dozens of Palestinians were martyred in new massacres in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, most of them in Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, where the Israeli occupation army launched a sudden ground attack that lasted hours and intensively targeted dozens of homes.

Medical sources told Tel Aviv Tribune that the number of martyrs rose to 89 as a result of the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Wednesday.

The bodies of 53 martyrs were recovered after the occupation forces withdrew from southeastern Khan Yunis at dawn today, after the ground operation that included the areas of Qizan al-Najjar, Ma’an, al-Manara, and al-Salam.

The occupation army prevented medical and civil defense teams from reaching these areas for hours.

Anatolia News Agency said that the Israeli army destroyed dozens of homes and large areas of infrastructure and destroyed hundreds of dunams of agricultural land and irrigation networks.

The agency indicated that “the Al-Farra family had the largest share of the number of martyrs in Khan Yunis, as 13 bodies of martyrs from family members were recovered, the last of which was the body of Mustafa Al-Farra, who was found hugging the body of his son Yaman, while 8 are still missing under the rubble.” “.

Targeting a tent for displaced people

In the central Gaza Strip, the Israeli army targeted a tent housing displaced people in the Al-Sawarha School, west of the Nuseirat camp, killing 4 Palestinians – including a woman – and wounding others, according to an Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent.

In the northern Gaza Strip, dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured during the dawn hours as a result of occupation raids on Muscat School and Al Amal Center for Orphans, which shelter displaced people in Gaza City.

For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said in a statement that these massacres, which it described as horrific, are a continuation of “the occupation army’s criminal approach that aims to kill the largest number of our people as part of the ongoing crime of genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip for nearly a year.”

She stressed that “the ongoing Zionist massacres committed with the complicity and support of the American administration will not weaken the resolve and steadfastness of our Palestinian people or succeed in subjugating their resistance.”

Hamas called for “urgent action to protect defenseless Palestinian civilians, curb the Zionist terror machine, and stop its fascist aggression against the peoples of the region and its effort to expand the circle of destruction.”

UNRWA warns

On the other hand, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, warned that hunger has spread again in the Gaza Strip.

Lazzarini stated in a post on the X platform today, Wednesday, that one million Palestinians in Gaza did not receive food aid last August, and that this number rose to more than 1.4 million last September.

He pointed out that the war destroyed about 70% of the fields in the Gaza Strip.

For about a year, Israel has been waging this devastating war on Gaza – which international experts describe as genocide – in which more than 41,000 Palestinians were martyred, 96,000 were injured, and nearly 70% of the civilian infrastructure in Gaza, including homes, schools, and hospitals, was destroyed.
