73 Palestinians were martyred and dozens were injured in a new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces on Saturday in the Beit Lahia project area in the northern Gaza Strip, which is subject to a stifling siege that threatens the lives of hundreds of thousands in the region.

The northern Gaza Strip recorded the second massacre in less than 24 hours, after 33 Palestinians – including 21 women – were killed in an air strike on the Jabalia camp in the early hours of Saturday.

This comes on the 15th day of the war of extermination and starvation that the Israeli occupation army continues in northern Gaza, and hours after Israel cut off communications and the Internet from the region. Which imposes a blackout on the massacres taking place there.

Civil Defense spokesman in Gaza, Mahmoud Basal, explained that the occupation forces targeted with a belt of fire a residential square in the Beit Lahia project, resulting in 73 martyrs and dozens of wounded and missing people. He stressed that the occupation was deliberately destroying homes and infrastructure to displace the Palestinians.

Basal said that the occupation declared Jabalia a military zone and targets everyone who moves there, even ambulance teams. It also besieges Jabalia camp, and anyone who wants to go out to secure food is killed.

For his part, the Director General of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Ismail Al-Thawabta, said that the Beit Lahia massacre falls within the plan of displacement from the northern Gaza Strip governorate implemented by the occupation forces, and is added to the record of the Israeli occupation, which committed more than 3,000 massacres, killing more than 17,000 children and 11 children. One thousand women since the beginning of its aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

Al-Thawabta stressed that the Israeli occupation army is waging a clear war of ethnic cleansing against the people of the Gaza Strip and a complete historical war of genocide against the Palestinian people.

For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirmed that “Arab silence and international impotence encouraged this criminal fascist enemy to commit more crimes and massacres, to empty the northern Gaza Strip of its population.”

Hamas called on “the Arab and Islamic countries, the United Nations, and all concerned international bodies to take effective action to stop this holocaust committed by the neo-Nazis, which will have major repercussions on the security and peace of the region.”

Other raids

On the other hand, the occupation forces continued their raids on various areas of the Gaza Strip, and the aircraft targeted a tent housing displaced people in Deir al-Balah in the center of the Strip, wounding 5 Palestinians. Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent also reported that injuries were recorded as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted a house in the vicinity of the Al-Salam Mosque in the Al-Sabra neighborhood in the south. Gaza City.

The correspondent explained that Israeli air strikes targeted the west of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that 11 people were martyred and others were injured as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted a house in the Maghazi camp, and 4 Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli bombing that targeted a car in the town of Khuza’a, south of the Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent also said that rescue teams were able to recover the bodies of 4 martyrs in the Khirbet al-Adas area and the Shaboura camp in the center of Rafah, and they were transferred to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza, leaving more than 142,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
