According to a study by the Institute for Global Health in Barcelona, ​​abnormally high temperatures were responsible for 70,000 additional deaths in Europe last year.

The calculations carried out by the experts are based on daily data collected in sixteen European countries.

In France, the autumn and winter of 2022 were particularly mild and three exceptional heat waves were recorded in summer, as well as a historic drought.
