6 soldiers were killed and 30 injured.. The occupation is investigating the explosion of an explosives truck in Gaza | News

Today, Tuesday, the Israeli army began investigating the explosion that occurred in a truck loaded with explosives in the middle of the Gaza Strip, killing 6 soldiers and wounding 30 others, according to Hebrew media.

6 Israeli army soldiers were killed in the Gaza Strip, when a truck loaded with their explosives exploded in the Bureij camp (central), according to the army statement, while the Walla website reported that the number of people wounded as a result of the same explosion was 30 soldiers.

The truck exploded while soldiers were preparing to blow up a tunnel in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, yesterday, Monday.

Israeli Army Radio said, on Tuesday evening, “With regard to the disaster of detonating explosive materials in Bureij, the army is investigating whether Israeli tank fire was what caused the massive explosion.”

Safety rules

For its part, the official broadcasting authority said that the army’s estimates indicate that the incident is related to the safety rules of the Israeli forces.

She added that one of the possibilities that was also investigated was that a tank opened fire on a nearby building, which led to the ignition of explosives.

Earlier Tuesday, the broadcasting authority said that the army is still unable to determine whether the explosion that occurred in the truck and in the tunnel that the soldiers wanted to destroy was caused by the explosion of explosive materials out of control, or because the explosives that were placed in the tunnel ignited. Out of control by some spark or charge that was there.

The Israeli army also announced, in two separate statements on Tuesday, the killing of 9 soldiers, including the six who died in the explosion.
