Six Palestinian youths were killed in the bombing of an Israeli march at the entrance to the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank, according to an Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent.

Palestinian medical sources reported that a number of Palestinians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli drone bombing in Jenin.

Earlier, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported hearing explosions in the center of Jenin, coinciding with clashes between resistance fighters and occupation forces.

The occupation forces stormed the city of Jenin and armed clashes immediately broke out between them and Palestinian resistance fighters in a number of areas of the city.

Palestinian resistance fighters confronted the Israeli forces that stormed Jenin from the northern and southern entrances, while an occupation Apache helicopter bombed the area of ​​clashes.

Armed clashes broke out between resistance fighters and occupation soldiers in more than one area of ​​the city, and Israeli military vehicles headed to the Jabriyat neighborhood overlooking the Jenin camp.

Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent Guevara Al-Badiri said that the armed clashes stopped after Palestinian resistance fighters detonated explosive devices on occupation vehicles in the Jabriyat neighborhood, resulting in the damage of a number of them.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent indicated that the occupation forces used an Apache helicopter to bomb the area.

The occupation forces also stormed the town of Ya`bad, west of Jenin, and Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire on a foot force of the occupation army and threw homemade bombs at a number of military vehicles.

The occupation soldiers responded by shooting randomly at a number of citizens.

Tulkarm raids

In Tulkarm Governorate, 3 Palestinians were injured during the occupation forces’ storming of the town of Zeita, north of the governorate, while the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that 4 Palestinians were injured by bullets from the Israeli occupation forces. The injury of one of them was described as serious during confrontations that broke out in the towns of Bala’a and Anabta, east of the governorate.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the neighborhoods and deployed there to arrest those they called wanted persons, and were stationed in the center of the town of Balaa. Confrontations broke out with Palestinians as they confronted the raid. The occupation forces destroyed and burned a commercial store and fired sound bombs at it before withdrawing.

Confrontations in Nablus

Confrontations also broke out between Palestinian youths and the occupation forces in the village of Aqraba, southeast of Nablus.

The Israeli occupation forces had raided the Old City and its surroundings in the city of Nablus earlier, and violent clashes broke out between the occupation forces and Palestinian resistance fighters who tried to confront the raid.

The occupation forces withdrew from the city after destroying the printing press of a university professor who had been detained for two months in the occupation prisons. Less than half an hour after their withdrawal, they returned and stormed the city and headed towards the Old City.

Raids in Hebron

In Hebron Governorate, the occupation forces stormed the city of Dura, the Al-Samoud Hill area in Masafer Yatta, and the town of Bani Naim, east of Hebron, and began raiding and searching civilian homes.

The occupation forces fired bullets at an ambulance belonging to the Popular Committee for Services in Al-Arroub Camp, north of Hebron.

In this context, a video clip showed an armed settler searching a Palestinian citizen and detaining him in the Jaber neighborhood (in the center of Hebron) in full view of Israeli occupation soldiers in the area.

Qalqilya and Jerusalem

The occupation forces also stormed the city of Qalqilya in the northern West Bank and raided several neighborhoods in the city. The occupation forces arrested a number of young men.

Armed confrontations also broke out with Palestinian resistance fighters, and the occupation forces are still besieging several neighborhoods under the pretext of searching for wanted persons.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent stated that two Palestinians were injured by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets in the town of Qatana, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, during confrontations.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces raided a number of homes, destroyed their contents, and launched a massive arrest campaign targeting young men, after which they were subjected to investigation.

Increase in the number of prisoners

The number of Palestinians arrested by the Israeli army in the West Bank has risen to 5,680 since October 7, after 20 were arrested from last Friday evening until Saturday evening.

A joint statement by the Palestinian Authority for Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs (governmental) and the Palestinian Prisoners Club (non-governmental) stated that the number of Palestinians arrested by the occupation forces after October 7 of last year rose to 5,680 prisoners.

According to the two institutions, the occupation forces continue to carry out widespread raids and harassment during arrest campaigns, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes.

According to an annual report by prisoner institutions, the total number of prisoners at the end of December 2023 reached about 8,800, including more than 80 female prisoners.
