Six Palestinians, including three children, were martyred on Tuesday evening in Israeli raids in the central Gaza Strip, while Israeli army vehicles suddenly penetrated the Qaizan al-Najjar area, southeast of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the besieged Strip, under intense fire from vehicles and drones.
A medical source at Al Awda Hospital said that 3 citizens were martyred and 8 injured, as a result of an Israeli reconnaissance plane bombing a gathering of citizens in the new camp in Nuseirat (centre).
While another medical source reported that 3 children were killed and others were injured as a result of an Israeli march bombing a group of citizens on Salah al-Din Street near the entrance to Bureij (centre).
In the city of Khan Yunis, eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that “Israeli vehicles suddenly entered under heavy fire cover into the Qaizan al-Najjar area, southeast of the city.”
Families besieged
The witnesses added that hundreds of Palestinian families are besieged east of Khan Yunis due to continuous artillery shelling and gunfire, which resulted in injuries among citizens and displaced people.
The Qaizan al-Najjar and al-Manara areas also witnessed a large exodus of Palestinians in anticipation of an incursion and shooting, according to witnesses.
With American support, Israel has – since October 7, 2023 – been waging a devastating war on Gaza that has left more than 137,000 Palestinians martyred and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction, a deadly siege, and a deadly famine.
In disdain for the international community, Israel continues its bloody war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
