Six Palestinian young men were martyred and others were injured by occupation forces’ bullets during their storming of Al-Far’a camp in Tubas in the occupied West Bank – today, Friday – and another young man was injured when the Israeli army stormed Al-Fawwar camp south of Hebron, at a time when arrest operations continue in Bethlehem.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that two other Palestinians were injured by bullets from the occupation forces in Al-Far’a camp, amid the Israeli army’s attempt to prevent ambulances from reaching the camp and placing its snipers on top of one of its buildings.

For its part, the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that confrontations broke out with Israeli forces in the camp, amid heavy gunfire and the sounds of explosions being heard.

The occupation forces continued their raids on Palestinian cities, towns and camps in the West Bank, and the campaign focused at dawn today on the city of Ramallah and a number of villages, towns and neighborhoods of the city of Hebron, in the south of the West Bank, where a campaign of raids, arrests and demolition of homes and shops was launched.

Storming Ramallah

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that about 15 military vehicles belonging to the occupation stormed the center of Ramallah at Al Manara Roundabout, where the city’s commercial center and Martyr Sherine Abu Aqla Street are near the Tel Aviv Tribune channel office.

The occupation soldiers stormed two commercial stores after smashing their doors and confiscating camera recordings from these two stores overlooking Al-Manara Roundabout.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the occupation soldiers fired metal bullets and tear gas and sound bombs at dozens of young men who tried to confront the occupation forces.

Israeli forces also stormed the town of Beit Liqya, southwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

Night photos showed an Israeli military vehicle entering the town and walking through one of its streets, while Palestinians were wounded by occupation bullets in the town of Al-Khader, west of Bethlehem.

Storming Hebron

In Hebron, the occupation forces stormed homes and shops in the Dura area, south of the governorate, after throwing a homemade bomb at a military tower of the occupation army in the Kharsa Triangle, south of Dura, according to Tel Aviv Tribune sources.

This is amid an intense deployment of Israeli forces in many axes and crossroads leading to villages and towns south of Hebron Governorate.

Wafa Agency said that a young man was injured in clashes with Israeli forces during their storming of Al-Fawwar camp in Hebron, and confirmed that the occupation obstructed the ambulance from reaching the injured person.

Arrests in Bethlehem

Wafa reported that today the occupation forces arrested Sheikh Najeh Bakirat, Deputy Director of the Islamic Endowments in Jerusalem, from his home in the village of Dar Salah, east of Bethlehem.

The agency added that the occupation also arrested a child after raiding and searching his family’s home, in the town of Janata, east of Bethlehem.

Settler violence

In a related development, the US Department of Defense said yesterday that Minister Lloyd Austin urged his Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant, to reduce the violence of extremist settlers in the West Bank.

Last Tuesday, Washington announced that it had begun what it calls a ban on granting entry visas to people “involved in violence” in the occupied West Bank, and that it continues to ask Israel to “limit civilian casualties” in the Gaza Strip, at a time when the United States continues to supply Tel Aviv with weapons.
