Two resistance fighters were martyred before dawn on Tuesday in a clash with the Israeli army in Tulkarm, which raised the number of martyrs in the West Bank to 5 within hours, while the occupation forces carried out new raids and arrests in several Palestinian cities and towns.

A group in Tulkarm affiliated with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Fatah movement, mourned two martyrs from its group, saying that they were martyred while carrying out a shooting operation at the “Netsani Oz” checkpoint west of the city of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank.

The group, which calls itself “Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades – Youth of Revenge and Liberation in Tulkarm Governorate,” said on social media that it inflicted confirmed losses on the ranks of the occupation army during the operation.

She added that the two martyrs were Ahmed Rajab and Abdel Fattah Jabara. Palestinian sources said that the occupation forces opened fire on a car they were inside.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that clashes broke out between resistance fighters and the Israeli occupation forces in the vicinity of Gate 104, west of Tulkarm.

Incursions and clashes

Meanwhile, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the cities of Nablus and Qalqilya in the northern West Bank early today.

Palestinian sources said that resistance fighters targeted the occupation forces with a homemade explosive device in central Qalqilya.

The sources added that Israeli forces stormed the eastern region of Nablus and towns in the governorate, including Burqa and Asira al-Shamaliya, where they arrested a young man.

Also in the northern West Bank, an occupation army force stormed the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm.

The new incursions also included the Jabal al-Tawil neighborhood in the city of Al-Bireh in the central West Bank and the town of Al-Jib, northwest of occupied Jerusalem.

To the east of Ramallah, settlers set fire to olive trees in the village of Barqa Sharq, according to Palestinian sources.

In the southern West Bank, Palestinian sources reported that Israeli forces stormed the town of Sa’ir, north of Hebron, where they arrested a Palestinian and his son.

Martyrs in Nablus

Yesterday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 3 Palestinians were martyred and others were injured, including a child, by Israeli occupation army bullets during their storming of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that armed clashes broke out between resistance fighters and the occupation forces on Al-Quds Street and the vicinity of Balata camp, east of the city.

The army had stormed the area to support a special Israeli force, which had infiltrated the place earlier and targeted a building containing a wedding hall and was stationed in its vicinity, while the army was deployed in several areas of the city.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the occupation forces detained an ambulance with a seriously injured person inside near Balata camp for a period of time.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) mourned the martyrs of the city of Nablus, Adam Farraj and Moataz al-Nabulsi, who rose to the death after a clash it described as heroic with the occupation forces in the vicinity of the Balata camp.

The movement affirmed in a statement that the crimes of the occupation and the cowardly assassinations carried out by it will not deter the heroes of the resistance in the West Bank from escalating their heroic operations in the face of the occupation and its fascist soldiers and settlers, according to the statement.

For its part, the Israeli occupation army spoke of an assassination operation targeting a cell in Nablus that was planning to carry out an attack inside Israel.

Since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the Israeli army has escalated its attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, resulting in the death of about 500 and the arrest of more than 8,000 others.
