4 settlers were injured in a run-over near Hebron News

Israeli Channel 12 reported that 4 settlers were injured in a ramming operation south of Hebron in the West Bank, and said that Israeli soldiers shot and killed the perpetrator.

Palestinian media said that the Israeli occupation forces shot a young Palestinian man who was driving his car in the Wadi Al-Shajna area near the town of Dura in Hebron, while the occupation forces closed a number of entrances to the city as a result.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the occupation forces prevented Palestinian ambulances and medical teams from advancing towards the site of the accident, and opened fire on a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance.

This comes hours after a young Palestinian man from the town of Jabal Mukaber in occupied Jerusalem was martyred, after carrying out a stabbing attack that led to the injury of two Israelis in the Border Guard police unit, at the Mazmoria checkpoint near Bethlehem yesterday evening, Thursday.

Before that, another young man from the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, was martyred after being shot by occupation forces at the tunnel checkpoint west of Bethlehem.

The death toll in the occupied West Bank since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7 has risen to 315 martyrs.

Increase in the number of detainees

These developments come at a time when the Commission for Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs of the Palestine Liberation Organization (official) and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (private) announced – in a joint statement – an increase in the number of detainees from the West Bank in Israeli prisons since the occupation began its aggression against Gaza.

The two institutions said – in the statement – that after the arrest of 6 citizens from Al-Faraa camp near the city of Tubas, the number of detainees in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, has risen to about 4,846 Palestinians.

The Israeli army withdrew from Al-Faraa camp after a military operation that lasted 4 hours, during which 3 citizens were injured following an armed clash with Palestinians, according to medical sources.

According to the statement, the new arrests were distributed in the governorates of Tulkarm, Tubas (north), Ramallah (central), Hebron (south), Jericho (east), and the city of East Jerusalem.

This tally does not include arrests carried out by Israeli forces inside the Gaza Strip, according to the same source.

Since the outbreak of the devastating war on the besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli army has intensified its military operations in the occupied West Bank and increased the pace of incursions and raids into towns and camps, leaving dozens of Palestinian martyrs and hundreds of detainees.
