Three Palestinians were killed when an Israeli army drone bombed a car carrying them near the city of Tulkarm in the northern occupied West Bank. While the Israeli army announced the death of a soldier in a run-over attack, a Knesset member threatened to execute the perpetrator of the attack.

The official Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported that an Israeli drone bombed a car in the “Ezbet Al-Hajj Masoud” area near Tulkarm, causing it to completely catch fire.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in a brief statement, “The arrival of 3 martyrs to Al-Israa Hospital as a result of the occupation’s bombing of a vehicle near Tulkarm.”

With the martyrdom of the three Palestinians, the total number of Palestinian martyrs in the West Bank rises to 702, in addition to 5,700 wounded, and more than 10,400 detainees since October 7, 2023.

On Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army stormed the city of Tulkarm and its camp again after withdrawing from it at dawn last Friday following a military operation that lasted 10 days.

Faisal Salama, deputy governor of Tulkarm, told Anadolu Agency that the occupation army “forced dozens of families to evacuate their homes towards the city, turning them into military barracks and installing snipers on their roofs.”

Clashes and raids

In the same context, the occupation forces stormed the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, and fired live bullets at the Palestinians. Clashes also took place between the resistance and the occupation forces during their storming of the city of Nablus.

In parallel with its devastating war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, the Israeli occupation army has expanded its operations, and settlers have escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem.

In Tubas, resistance fighters confronted the occupation forces that continue their operations in the city, targeting them with an explosive device in the town of Tayasir, east of Tubas. Armed clashes also took place between Palestinian resistance fighters and the Israeli army in several areas of the governorate, and the occupation army raided a number of homes and arrested two young men from the city.

On the dawn of August 28, the Israeli army began a large-scale military operation in the northern West Bank, which included the cities of Jenin and its camp, Tulkarm and its camps, the city of Tubas and the Far’a camp, and withdrew from them after 10 days.
