Medical sources told Tel Aviv Tribune that 23 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids on various areas in Gaza since dawn on Sunday, while the Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – announced that it had targeted a Merkava tank and a military bulldozer and detonated an explosive device against an Israeli infantry force in Rafah.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that several areas in the Gaza Strip were subjected to airstrikes, and that 7 people were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment of the Kafr Qasim School, which houses displaced people in the Al-Shati camp, west of Gaza City.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent also reported that Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a house next to the shelters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Al-Sikka area of Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.
The correspondent explained that injuries were recorded in an Israeli bombardment that targeted a number of homes in the Khirbet al-Adas area, north of Rafah city, in addition to the Israeli occupation forces blowing up residential buildings in the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah.
This is accompanied by the difficult conditions experienced by the displaced people in the southern Gaza Strip, in light of the heavy rains that flooded their dilapidated tents and destroyed their contents.
These conditions have exacerbated the humanitarian situation of thousands of displaced persons who suffer from a shortage of water, food and medicine, not to mention the dangers they are exposed to daily as a result of the ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Strip for 11 months.
Qassam operations
On the ground, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced that its fighters east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, In the Al-Shawka area, they targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a Shawaaz bomb, and a D-9 military bulldozer with a tandem shell, in addition to targeting an Israeli infantry force with a television bomb, killing and wounding them in the same area.
Yesterday, Saturday, Al-Qassam announced the seizure of an Israeli military vehicle loaded with explosives and drones belonging to the occupation army in the eastern region of Rafah city.
The battalions published a video clip showing one of its fighters inspecting the military vehicle, andDrones seized by Qassam fighters, and photos taken by the drones were published.
The Al-Qassam Brigades also announced yesterday that it had killed and wounded members of an Israeli force by targeting them with an anti-fortification “TPG” shell and an anti-personnel one after they had taken refuge in a house east of the Al-Tannour neighborhood, and that it had monitored a helicopter landing to evacuate them.
