23 martyrs in Gaza and new Qassam operations east of Rafah | News

Medical sources confirmed to Tel Aviv Tribune that 23 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids on various areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn today, while the Qassam Brigades carried out new operations and the Ministry of Health in Gaza refused to receive the bodies of 88 martyrs that Israel sent via truck to the Gaza Strip.

Two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike that targeted a tent housing displaced people in the Al-Hasayna area, west of the Al-Nuseirat camp. Two Palestinians were also killed and several others were injured in Israeli occupation forces’ shelling that targeted the Khirbet Al-Adas area and the town of Al-Nasr, north of Rafah city, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that ambulance crews retrieved the bodies of 3 martyrs after an Israeli bombardment targeted a civilian car on Salah al-Din Street, north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Ambulance teams transferred the bodies of the martyrs and a number of the wounded to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

The correspondent said that a number of people were injured as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted a tent housing displaced persons south of the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. The occupation also blew up residential buildings in the al-Zeitoun neighborhood south of Gaza City.

Resistance operations

In contrast, the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), broadcast a video clip of its fighters targeting a convoy of Israeli vehicles east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

In the operation, which was called “Bisharat al-Nasr Ambush,” the Qassam Brigades distributed the tasks to three groups. The footage obtained by Tel Aviv Tribune showed one of the fighters explaining the details of carrying out the operation in the area of the massacre and in the location where the Israeli occupation forces were stationed.

The scenes included the occupation forces’ supply lines on the Rafah crossing road and towards the east of the Tanour area.

The video clip showed the vehicles monitoring the ambush area, then targeting a Merkava tank with a “Yassin 105” shell.

The scenes also included targeting the first D9 bulldozer with a “Yassin 105” shell, then targeting the second D9 bulldozer with a “Yassin 105” shell.

The clip also showed the Israeli occupation army evacuating its soldiers from the targeted area.

On Monday, Al-Qassam announced that it had set up a “well-planned ambush” for Israeli military vehicles east of Rafah.

She added that the fighters targeted 3 D9 military bulldozers and 2 Merkava tanks while they were passing through the eastern George intersection in Rafah city, using “Yassin 105” shells and suicide bombs.

88 unidentified bodies

On the other hand, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced the arrival of a container from the Israeli side containing about 88 unidentified bodies of Palestinians from the Strip.

The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that it had suspended the procedures for receiving the bodies until the data and information about them were completed so that their families could identify them.

She called on the International Red Cross to carry out its duties regarding receiving and delivering the bodies, providing data on each one and the areas from which they were taken.

In the latest tally of casualties in Gaza, the Ministry of Health announced today that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7 has risen to 41,495 martyrs and 96,006 wounded.

The ministry said – in its statistical report for the 355th day of the war – that the Israeli occupation committed 4 massacres against families in the besieged Gaza Strip, of which 28 bodies of martyrs and 85 wounded arrived at hospitals during the past 24 hours.

She explained that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.

With full American support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has led – in addition to the martyrs and wounded, most of whom are children and women – to massive destruction and a deadly famine.
