The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the number of martyrs of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October had risen to 23,84 martyrs, and 58,926 people were injured, the majority of whom were women and children.
The Ministry added – in a statement on Monday – that the Israeli occupation forces committed 17 massacres in the Gaza Strip, claiming 249 martyrs and 510 wounded during the past 24 hours, warning of the danger of the continued deterioration of the condition of health facilities due to their targeting by the Israeli occupation.
The Ministry indicated that hospitals in southern Gaza have lost their capacity to accommodate the wounded in all departments, including intensive care, pointing out that there is significant overcrowding in hospitals in southern Gaza at a time when hundreds of wounded are lying on the ground in corridors and courtyards.
Death triangle
Gaza Ministry of Health spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said that famine, drought, and epidemics constitute a triangle of death that besieges 1.9 million displaced people in shelters in the Gaza Strip, calling on the United Nations and its institutions to conduct urgent and focused interventions to prevent the health and humanitarian catastrophe to which the displaced are exposed.
This morning, the occupation army launched violent air and artillery bombardment on the central and southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of more than 50 people, coinciding with the continuation of fierce clashes between the resistance and the occupation forces in Khan Yunis.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said – quoting a medical source – that Israeli raids targeted – at dawn today – homes in Deir al-Balah (central Gaza Strip), leaving 18 martyrs and dozens injured.
The reporter added that Israeli fighter jets launched a series of violent raids on Al-Maghazi camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, and later the nearby Nuseirat camp was bombed, leaving martyrs and wounded.
Al-Jazeera’s correspondent stated that the occupation army fired smoke bombs at Al-Maghazi camp and the town of Al-Zawaida, pointing out that the bodies of 9 new martyrs arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital following an Israeli bombing of Gaza City.
He explained that violent clashes are taking place between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation forces, amid heavy air and artillery bombardment in the town of Al-Zawaida and the Al-Maghazi and Al-Nuseirat camps in the central Gaza Strip, noting that the Israeli occupation forces continue to bomb the Qaizan Al-Najjar area in Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, and are trying to advance there.
