Palestinian medical sources said that 17 Palestinians were killed since dawn on Tuesday in the Gaza Strip, and dozens were injured as a result of the Israeli occupation army’s bombing of areas in the center and south of the Strip, while the United Nations warned that the war had turned the Strip into hell.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that two Palestinians were martyred after Israeli occupation aircraft bombed a group of citizens on Al-Rashid Street, west of the Central Governorate in the Gaza Strip, this morning.
The reporter said that two other martyrs were killed as a result of Israeli bombing that targeted the town of Al-Qarara, east of Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the number of martyrs had risen to 12 after Israeli raids targeted the home of the Al-Rai family in the center of the Nuseirat camp and the home of the Al-Madhoun family in the Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip at dawn today.
Fierce battles in Rafah
Earlier today, Al-Aqsa Satellite Channel said that engineering units in the Israeli occupation army blew up a number of buildings in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian media also said that Israeli occupation artillery launched intense bombardment on the western neighborhoods of Rafah.
These media outlets confirmed that fierce clashes were taking place between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation forces in the center and west of the city of Rafah, coinciding with violent artillery shelling.
She said that the occupation forces were firing intensely to support the occupation forces trying to penetrate the city centre.
Yesterday, Monday, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that 8 martyrs and a number of wounded were killed in an Israeli bombing that targeted goods security personnel east of the city of Rafah.
The reporter added that the bombing came despite prior coordination with the occupation army, and said that the Israeli bombing caused destruction and devastation of the place, and the bodies of a number of martyrs arrived at the European Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that it bombed the occupation forces stationed southeast and southwest of the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood in the city of Rafah with heavy-caliber mortar shells.
Earlier, the Al-Qassam Brigades targeted two “Merkava” tanks with two “Al-Yassin 105” shells in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood.
“An imminent end to the Rafah invasion”
In a related context, Israeli Channel 12 said that Israel informed US envoy Amos Hockstein that operations in Rafah were nearing an end.
She said that Tel Aviv informed the American envoy that the end of operations in Rafah would affect the region and the Lebanon front.
Yesterday, Monday, the Israeli army announced that 16 soldiers had been wounded in the Gaza battles during the past 24 hours, and added that 662 officers and soldiers had been killed since the start of the war, while 582 others were seriously injured.
The Israeli army revealed that 241 soldiers are still being treated after being injured in the Gaza battles, 28 of whom have serious injuries.
International warning
On the humanitarian side, the United Nations said that the war on Gaza has turned the Strip into hell, and the people of the Strip are on the brink of famine, and that delivering aid to them is almost impossible.
Yesterday, Monday, the occupation army burned the departures hall and a number of facilities on the Palestinian side of the Rafah land crossing in southern Gaza, which is the main crossing for aid to enter the Strip, about 40 days after taking control of it on May 7.
Hamas condemned the burning of the building, describing it as a “criminal act” and saying that it cuts off “the Palestinians’ communication with the outside world.”
Hamas blamed the occupation army for “the consequences of this crime, which cuts off Palestinian communication with the outside world and deprives thousands of sick and wounded people of traveling to receive treatment abroad.”
The movement called for widespread international condemnation of “this Nazi behavior, which constitutes a clear-cut war crime.”
It also called for effective international action “to open the crossing, facilitate travel for our citizens, and facilitate the entry of emergency food and relief aid into the Strip, which is being subjected to a deliberate Zionist war of starvation.”
Tel Aviv continues its aggression against Gaza, ignoring the UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to end the Rafah invasion, take measures to prevent genocide, and improve the dire humanitarian situation in the Strip.
