Israeli Channel 12 reported on Friday that 15 Israeli soldiers from the Paratroopers Brigade refused to return to participate in the war on the Gaza Strip.

The channel said, “15 paratroopers from the Paratroopers Brigade who completed their service this week in the cities of Deir al-Balah (central) and Khan Yunis (south) were called to return again, but they refused.”

The Israeli army announced earlier today that the 98th Division had completed its military operations in the Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah areas of the Gaza Strip, about a month after its launch.

The Israeli channel added, “One of the things that accompanies the end of the teams’ operations is the exhaustion of the soldiers, so they leave to get a rest period.”

“The army is trying to deal with the attrition problem, but it is clear to everyone that this is a sensitive event that could affect more units and soldiers,” she continued.

“In the meantime, commanders are required to engage in regular dialogue with soldiers, while working on additional, horizontal solutions that will support the forces,” she added.

It is noteworthy that since the start of the aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Israeli government has summoned more than 350,000 reserve soldiers to participate in the war. The summons order has been extended several times since then, the last of which was today, Friday.
